Christmas Day

Celebrated on the 25th of december. Majority Kenyan's are christians and celebrater this feast. Many will go for midnight mass or service and those who do not will catch up on Christmas day service. During this time many people will travel up country to be with there families and loved ones. Also many will buy new clothes for their children, slaughter a goat for the family or a chicken. Very few know about Christmas trees and exchanging presents. Most hotels a characteristically fully booked and extremely crowded.

Boxing Day  

Most Kenyans have no clue what boxing day is all about however it is a holiday all the same and is treated as an extension of Christmas. It is a very quiet day spent at home with family.

 New Years Day

This falls on the 1st of January. Most people are terribly broke by this time and are looking forward on the new school year and its demands. Those who were not able to travel home for various reasons will do so during this time. For Holiday makers this is the time to go down to the beach or any other place as the Christmas crowed has gone and of cause the prices have fallen.
